Firstly doing that will be the job of the new Assembly WB when it comes. But for now there are alternatives.
1) you can directly adjust the values of the placement parameters of the object, both orientation and position.
2) in the Edit menu, there is a Placement tool which allows a more efficient way of doing 1), it also has a tick box so that you can enable "relative" mode, so that the object is move by an amount relative to its current position rather than just entering an absolute value.
3) in the same Edit menu, there is an Alignment tool which works like this...select two solids, mouse click on pairs of matching points, one on each solid. In this case, this is probably the most appropriate tool
4) you can use the Draft WB "Move" tool in conjunction with snapping.
