Hello all,
I would like to mill an object from two sides. From the upper side it works amazingly well.
On the lower side 3d-Surface finds the shape, but unfortunately the calculated path dips the mill so deep in some places in one step that I had to abort.
Here are the corresponding settings
What is the problem with the surface? How can I still have such a surface milled?
Here the corresponding file
Yours
Arne

Re: 3d-Surface generates paths that are too deep
You have layer mode set to single layer. Try multi-pass.

YES. Thanks sliptonic!
This has helped.
Now it looks like this and can be milled safely.

Hi,
if you set the sample interval to a lower nuber, e.g. 0,1, you get a better surface, especialy at strong direction changes.

Yes, I am also very curious about it. But I'm waiting for more RAM, only then it can succeed
