Re: Conversion to Path.Area

I tried using Profile from Edges with these slots in the picture. For the left one I was able to generate the path by few trials, it seemed to be very picky about the order of Edges or something.. But for the second slot, I haven't found a way to create the path.. The log is shown in the bottom. The part is attached. Any clues?

Try setting the 'side' property from left to right. But don't use the task panel, set it in the properties grid. I think It's just a bug in the panel, at least it works in my current branch. I'll include the panel fix in the stuff I'm working on now.

BTW, I have much better luck using the loop complete tool. Just pick two edges and it finds the rest and gets the order right. Image

@roivai: please add your FreeCAD info as indicated here: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2264. Path Development is so fast that it is very important to know.

@sliptonic: The "side" seems to be broken currently; I tried this morning on a model in the dialog as well as in the Data Tab and only "Right" is possible

Strange.. I had no luck even with using the loop complete tool.. And I tried switching the side from the properties view..

The other slot that somewhat works gives me strange things when I change side there. It generates a shape called Collision when I change the side so that the path goes outside of the slot.. What's that all about?

I seem to have same hash than @chrisb.. My OCC version is rather ancient thanks to Debian Jessie..
