I am a relative novice at the freecad but I could not find any reference to this issue.
I created a sketch with a square put a circle in it.
I created a body with sketch as a cube.
I created job and tried the debur function.
I can create a path around the body but I was trying to use the deburr function which only appears to go around the outside as expected, it shows the path as going around the circle but when I tried the simulation of the path it just creates one point where ther appears to be a line along the circle.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks
Philip

Hi pwatten, welcome. It works well here from what I tried, but I don't know any dimensions. Please retry with the current 0.18 version. If it still doesn't work, upload your model.

Re: deburr sketch with hole does not go around circle
Playing with Deburr I found a small rather cosmetic issue. If I edit the heights for a 10mm high block it shows for SafeHeight a value of 3mm
a value of 14mm. Similar for ClearanceHeight.
If I don't touch any height and create the Deburr path the correct values are used and displayed on editing.
If I click the f(x) button it shows the correct formula anda value of 14mm. Similar for ClearanceHeight.

I see the same issue on a project here. The outer debur works, but not the inner, and it's unclear how to make this work. Any suggestions?
I also get no output from the smaller plate cover. It raises an error claiming the "Item is not a shape"....
Thanks,
Josh

Re: deburr sketch with hole does not go around circle
Path doesn't deal with modelled chamfers very well - in fact (AFAIK) there is no logic inside Path to understand them. In order to use Deburr I highly recommend not modelling your chamfers. Also, Deburr expects to be used with an "Engraver" tool. It uses the diameters and angles in order to calculate the depth of cut. If you use an endmill anyway you're probably better off with a Profile op.
