Is Path workbench up to the task

Here's the place for discussion related to CAM/CNC and the development of the Path module.

So what has to be done to make things quite simple in FreeCAD too?

I cannot judge about the code, I have gone into that only scratching on the surface. I don't have issues with the UI, but I am always for simplifications. Are you talking about something specific?

But it's nearly impossible to abstract down to this in the Path workbench code, as I've found out.
You've been talking about your past accomplishments and how badly Path sucks for more than half a year - yet no proposal, no code, not even a discussion on how things _should_ be. After delaying all our own initiatives to improve Path because we were waiting for you to show us the light the only contribution so far are code reviews about code which should be obsoleted by the new approach anyway. What a waste.

Hello,
I came back here just to satisfy your curiosity.
My experience with Fusion360 is very positive. It's a totally different level and cannot be compared to Freecad.
Not perfect, but very easy, works very well and the cam part is very efficient and with some learning and understanding, not that confusing. Working with meshes and stl files has some limits though.
I leave you here some videos of my first model.
Best regards.
