heya,
so I'm still trying to wrestle with paths...
I'm just wondering what on earth these blue arrows are next to start and final depth?
is it possible to put a tool-tip on them??
btw, are these UI confusion reports useful?

Re: cryptic blue arrows
'thought there was a tooltip - will check out later.
Those arrows are for setting the depths. If you select something with a uniform z axis in the 3d view those arrows become enabled and when you press it the Z value of the selection gets transferred to the corresponding depth (overwriting whatever was there before). It's a convenient way of quickly setting the depths of an op, takes you all but 4 clicks to transfer both depths.
BTW: Anything that makes FC better is useful - my take

Re: cryptic blue arrows
Indeed - no tooltips - any suggestions?
Re: cryptic blue arrows
The "cryptic blue" or "cryptic grey" arrows?
You must be referring to the "Set Depth To Selected Plane/Edge!
Plane is "typical" but edges are sometimes the only feature accessible at a specific level (might be a bug).
Another "Tool-Tip" from Path-HOPpa.
PS. I actually find these selectors invaluable!
