Wait...
... You have a 9 axis CNC machine and you set your offsets with paper?
I have many of them. Mostly I do setup with local special tool, not available outside our factory. It is laser-based.
When something goes to the wilds, I use paper as only thing I can be sure.
I love this way and suppose, what for common FC user it is nice to learn how to handle it.
Also, I use a paper for my "own" small machines, two of them - 3 and 4 axis. They are out of main production line(s).
9-axis Robots are very new toys there. They needs nothing to setup. Only load your 3D models (not sure about list of the formats - I'll learn them in November-December) + stock and it will be done. Machines even orders a tools itself.
You feel as usefulness mix of meat and bones, covered by skin, when you are looking how such thing operates.
But it is very curious to write something for it by hands.
Rotating axis more then twice do not fit my brains, so I tried to ask there.
