My mill is already a big one (Maho from the 80s). On friday I will get a new one, which is even bigger, it weighs several tons. Same age, same old control. I wonder if I can replace the control with something machinekit like, i.e. build a "Direct FreeCAD mill".

I like your idea to generalize this Wokbench for other CNC controls.

We need to control a KOSY/MCS CNC-system via RS-232. Vendors offering KOSY/MCS-based CNC-Systems are EMC, Max Computer GmbH and Wabeco.
