Hi Jef,
that's no problem and again it works here.
I replace the Holding Tags to points i would have it and the eaport is done with LinuxCNC postprocessor, if you need a different, please let me know.
You have to rename the .txt file to .ngc that your mill will work with.

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
Hi HerbK,
by the way, my name is Jean-Claude (jcf), but that is not important
I tried your file, and it worked. That's fine, but:
You have no tags in the cylindrical part of the contour! (This I had found also!)
However I don't want to have the cutout cylinder flying around.
So I would need a tag there (or attach it with a screw, but it would be nicer to have a tag.)
Thanks for your help anyway!

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
I can't believe it!
Yours works!
Even with tags in the cylinder!
Thanks.
But the question remains: what causes the problem and what could we do to avoid it???

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
I found something: the height of the tags has an influence on the problem.
I changed my height of tags and could either find a corrupted path or a smooth wonderful cylindrical path.
h > 4mm -> problem
h < 4mm -> ok
Maybe this explains also why you have the problem sometimes and sometimes not, with the same geometry.

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
If it is a problem based at the height of the tag, it should aper at each tag heighter at the "limit"... but it dosn't.
Up to your example I was in mind that the problem appears if the parts are more complex ore if there are many parts (like at my entire example). I never have had it at such a little part.

Re: Problems with Tag Dressup
Well, my part was not really complex (the cylinder).
I have only very little experience until now, but for the 3 parts I did in the last days the problem disappeared when I reduced the height of the tag.
