3d pocker troubles

Postby xf3qc » Sun Aug 02, 2020 6:15 am

using 0.19 now., but always got this same issue, when making a 3d pocket,
only a limited cross section is generated, not starting at top, nor reaching bottom.

Please add your full FreeCAD infos. We don't even know which OS you use.

not starting at top, nor reaching bottom.
Notwithstanding herb's advice, you will need to tell it to over run the boundary. There are several essential parameters which need to be set from the treeview, since they are not integrated into the GUI dialogue yet.

from memory there is one like Enforce boundary which you need to flip to false. Currently your paths don't let the outer edge of the tool go outside the outline of the frame and to get down the sides you need to go a full tool width outside the boundary. Herb's helper body is a way around that but I prefer the model to really model the object unless that cannot be avoided.

Requests for version info refer to the Help menu | About , which has a copy to clipboard button. This gives hook line and sinker about what you are running and on what platform.
