Path array for multiple cuts

Post by xf3qc »

Would be really cool to be able to add multiple cut operations to a single Array.

Say small parts are being cut out,
each part takes 2 cuts. Pocket + Contour

Currently array would need to be ,made for each cut individually.
And arrays would be cut one after another.

A double cut array however, would cut out each part fully, and proceed to the next part .

And the mega tree in screenshot attached would only need to be one set of cuts and a single array

This would be more reliable for very long cutting operations. Missed steps, etc
+ faster plotting time,

Evening.
I believe this feature was recently added to 0.20_pre by forum user `freecader2` with the merger of PR #4812, Path: PathArray based on multiple bases, and choice of direction. See related forum thread, Combining Path Operations For Arrays.
