Bug? Model doesn't follow stock

Post by tigermm »

HI All,

I'm trying to profile the "cut arms" on the attached model but I can't for the life of me get it to work.
If I change the Z axis in the Job edit>Setup tab then the stock moves to the correct orientation, but the model doesn't follow it so it ends up profiling the end view of the model.

Am I doing this wrong (I presume so) or is it a bug?

Thanks,
Mike.

Change the position of "Model-Cut Arm" and let the stock follow.

Bah, why didn't I think of that!
Works now, thank you.

Interestingly when I selected transform to move it, no arrows appeared. I had to do it "manually" in the properties.

Did you select the face you want to be facing up for Z-axis, then select Z-Axis ? ( I find I have to have CAD navigation style selected to get good results with selection) Then click "Refresh" to update stock position, and exit with "OK" to save.

This worked for me with your file.

You're welcome.
I can confirm the missing transform tool and have no idea why that's the case, because normally clones can be moved like that.
