Wires are bad. zero-heigh face is better. Solids are best.

Consider your example as being cut from cardboard but you also want to add a creasing operation. If you added additional edges to your wires, there's no way for the operation to distinguish which wires are cut and which are creased.

Yes I agree.
It is no a big hassle to create Zero height solids and hide them to not interfere with paths visibility.


Wires are here to show "boundaries" of pockets and profiles (and it resemble some old 2D CAM I was used to code with)
