How do I analyze "Assembly 4" and "Dual Material"?
I designed a simple gantry structure for FEM testing
I have simplified the structure
Keep only the main structure
The square iron tube is filled with concrete inside
Please provide ideas
thank you very much

which parts of the structure would youlike to analyze?

Enhance wall thickness and add endplates at the beam.
After doing a bit of defeaturing (eliminate fillets/holes) and adding to beams at the top
to simulate excentric loading the results are at 5 kN z-load:
stresses lower than 30 MPa, max deflection 0,14 mm.
The structure is very stiff.

Re: How do I analyze "Assembly 4" and "Dual Material"?
The current parts are the main load-bearing structure
So currently I want to analyze
1.
Analysis on X-axis linear module
2.
Analysis on Z-axis linear module
2.
Analyze on the tool
From the structure point of view, I should analyze these three points. Isn't it right?

Your analysis is for the rigidity of the gantrythschrader wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 4:20 pmForget the concretexsuper9988 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 12:05 pm The square iron tube is filled with concrete inside

Although my final structure is not like this
But I can refer to your analysis method
In addition...
Can you assist in providing an analysis with concrete?
thank you for your sharing

Re: How do I analyze "Assembly 4" and "Dual Material"?
The problem will be the mesh on such geometrical complicated structures. If you get it meshed you can analyse it. Thus try to mesh what you would like to analyse. Check the mesh. If the solver refuses to analyze it, you need to get rid of geometrical problems. Use the Part --> geometry check first. If this fails it is common the mesher has problems too.
Would be cool if you would be able to mesh such a structure inside FreeCAD. We would be on the same stair step as ANSYS
Keep us informed with pics.

Be patient, inp writing needs 4 min.
See stress-plot, the effect of the concrete is nearly zero.

Do you know any other software that can analyze machinery?
Can you give me a list?
For analysis in FREECAD
Do you have other suggestions?
Thank you very much
