Hi,
when I open your file in FreeCAD (version details below) it looks like that:

LGTM
What seam to be wrong with that?

Re: Example for 1D analysis
Right, apparently I misunderstood the contents of this file. Especially that additional small line made me confused. I have some experience in CalculiX but not in its FreeCAD implementation including 1D elements. By the way, can you tell me how to display the results of such analysis in form of a contour plot ? Something like that (but with legend of course):
I couldn't find any tutorials with beam elements being used in FreeCAD.

Re: Example for 1D analysis
Unfortunately printing such postprocessing graphs for 1D analysis is not possible in FreeCAD ATM. Lots of people use Paraview if the post processing in FreeCAD does not offer the graph they would like to have. But I even do not know how it is possible in Paraview.
Re: Example for 1D analysis
What you could do is use the solver setting "Beam Shell Result Output 3D" and set it to True. This will expand the beam element to the solid elements which have been used in CalculiX anyway.
Re: Example for 1D analysis
- Make the settings, as bernd proposed
- mark results and export as vtk-file
- start Paraview and open the vtk-file
- play around with this ..at the end you should have this or similar, depending on your required result selection...
There is a FC wiki help for paraview
- under Paraview “file” you will find “make a screenshot” ..see attachment as example..
I put all the screenshots in one Libre Office Writer file, to have an overview of the different analysis results in one file, so no problem with the print option in FC-FEM
..just started to learn Paraview some weeks ago, with a great help from the german forum, I`m still not a specialist of PV….
PV is so extremely powerfull, have never regretted to invest the time to start learning it..
Hope, I could help..

Re: Example for 1D analysis
Thank you for explanation, it's clear now.
Does this picture show the postprocessed results of analysis carried out on 1D elements ? So it's possible to not only render beam profile but also display contour results on it ?cad1234 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 10:05 pm - Make the settings, as bernd proposed- Start the solver process

Re: Example for 1D analysis
Yes, it is bernd`s example (the example you used), I just downloaded it from your thread.
But you have to make the settings in the solver, as bernd explained, before starting the solver ( "Beam Shell Result Output 3D" and set it to True").
After that, you can see the contour also in FC, when you open the results in FC.
But I think, you have more options in PV, if you want to have more details.
It`s amazing, what PV can do with the data FC-FEM delivers.
e.g, if you set the “? with the red point” in PV, you can hover over the Beam, and see more details..
OT: Many, many thanks to Thomas for your fantastic help!!... if you read this!!!
