Hello,
in my current FEM-study a warning is generated by calculix.

"lochtraeger" shell elements, point load

This is one of bespoken nodes, here node 736:

If max. elements size is set to 0 (automatic) gmsh shows a warning about mesh distortion
I have tried max. element sizes down to 3 mm with no result.

If this is a safety component, can i sleep in peace next days ;)

Hi UR_

welcome to the world of FreeCAD FEM. You are new to the Forum, but for sure you does not seam to be new to FreeCAD ( https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 75#p163194 ;) ) In the regard of your problem. You seam to use the ccx binary which is delivered with FreeCAD windows do you ? You use ccx binary 2.8p2, compiled Fri May 1 09:38:01 PDT 2015 . On my system I use 2.11 "You are using an executable made on So 31. Jul 13:26:31 CEST 2016" With your file I get no warning and no errors. The results seam fine for me too.

BTW: for the arrows in the fixed constraint there seams to be the same problems we discussed already ... https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=20562
