) you could make the file like you described and I would give it a try to calculate it with my development branch.You should get hands on a compiler and compile this branch yourself. Would be a good test for this mixed mesh branch before PR.
BTW: all ccx, and mesh work is done. What is missing is the mesh view provider. I did hack the viewprovider to be able to display edges, faces from edges, faces and volumes at once. This needs to done in a smarter way before we can merge. Hopefully before 0.17 release.
