Is there anyone on Arch Linux or derivative that would be intersting in maintaining Z88OS ?

Re: FEA solver vs. FreeCAD FEM
Bernd, what do you think of making a wiki page describing ways the FC FEM community could help FEM WB ?
I was thinking a section on becoming a package manager for the various FEM solvers that FC currently uses and will potentially use in the future?
For example, take a look at https://github.com/luzpaz/FreeCAD-depen ... hes/FEM.md
it shows how little support downstream repos have of most solvers of interest.
Currently, and not surprisingly, Arch has the most support for most of the packages. We should encourage better and more up to date support of these solvers, what do you think ?

Great progress. We will try to run thermal simulations for open source 3D printer extruder design at our upcoming Open Source Microfactory STEAM Camp - https://www.opensourceecology.org/open- ... stem-camp/.

Hey Marcin, glad to hear OSE is staying busymarcin_ose wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 5:06 pm Great progress. We will try to run thermal simulations for open source 3D printer extruder design at our upcoming Open Source Microfactory STEAM Camp - https://www.opensourceecology.org/open- ... stem-camp/.
fYI, if you want to benefit from using FEM, then you need to be running v0.18 or even better stay up to date with v0.19
This may be an issue since OSE, AFAIU, uses v0.16

Re: FEA solver vs. FreeCAD FEM
Great news! For FEM use 0.19! Come up with any question you have and of course with cool result pictures
But make an own topic and do not blow the sticked general solver topic.
cheers bernd
