I'm new to the community and not sure if this was addressed before.
Downloaded FreeCAD today and Selected "Learn FEM 3D new solver example analysis"
and this showed up..
My system details:

it could also be a visibility issue.
can you try to set the backlight option on? in preferences>>display

- start FreeCAD
- open FEM 3D new solver example
- DoubleClick on SolverElmerResult object
- see screen, seams good to me.
- could you be more specific what exactly I need to do to reproduce your problem.

Okay, so please try:
- start FreeCAD
- open FEM 3D new solver example
- close the vtkOutputWindow (Picture attached)
- activate the analysis
- create result processing pipleline from calculix results
- doubleclick on the Pipeline
- choose Mode: Surface
- try some field and Vector Options and move the slider
- start FreeCAD
- open FEM 3D new solver example
- close the vtkOutputWindow (Picture attached)

What version of FreeCAD do you run? Would you print your version info?
I have never seen a vtkOutputWindow!

There is indeed a problem with diggits. It is not 0 it is 0.087 mm means 1000 times smaller than it should be ... See numbers on the color bar on the right. If a warp factor is added the problem is seen better because on needs a huge warp factor so see some warp. Attached two screen. I try to have a look at this.
