1) It looks like you added back in a standard directory for CCX file saving. However when you change that to your own directory it doesn't stick. So next time you want to save you get sent back to the default.
no, I did not switch back, I improved the directory handling once again. Seams not yet as good as the former one. :( Could you be more specific. What does not work for you?
I set up my own directory and save/run CCX. Then when I rerun CCX it has forgotten about my earlier choice and offers the standard directory again.
This is what I mean. I previously set a CCX directory. Now I start FC and load my file and the CCX export defaults back to the default tmp:

Yes I have, but still they don't show up. I will copy from the link you provided.

When double clicking the Calculix object ahead of starting an analysis, the dialogue asks to enter a dictectory for saving the input files. In the past FC would remember this preference.

I changed this slightly because FreeCAD could write some wired folder if the user does not care! Try this.

- deactivate the overwrite solver working dir in FEM Prefs (screen1)
- set the solver working dir in the solver properties (screen2, last property)
- give it a try, and report back if it works and what is your opinion?

or simply use one of the other three preferences from first screen and ignore the solver working dir (activate the overwrite checkbox)

Just realised they do not show up for me either :oops: what did months ago and never changed it is set the user custom path (Pref, FEM, Material, the third checkbox) to the StandardMaterial directory in my FreeCAD source. This is where all mat cards are ... Thus for me all mat cards which are in FreeCAD source show up, including the famous harry materials :mrgreen:

6 weeks pased and still not in master :o :shock: :oops: ... OK we really would be lost if we would not have the FreeCAD moto it's done when it's done ... :mrgreen:

adapted all femconcrete dev to the latest FEM code formating. Thus in the regard of code formating we are ready to merge ... Started the missing precheck. This is what I would like to finish before merging into master. https://github.com/berndhahnebach/FreeC ... 5df2d38a10

@harry:

Do you know some better names for the reinforced materials added? Are these real standard materials? https://github.com/berndhahnebach/FreeC ... a582d7c00b
