Judging from the branch info I got myself into a git mess again:
Why ... ? looks good to me.

A detached head sounds pretty serious to me

as long as you not gone make changes it is not serious at all. It just means the checked out remote branch does not belong to one of your branches. If you would make changes commit them, than check out one of your branches, than your changes would be lost because you where in detached head and did not made an own locale branch before commiting. Ok they are not lost forever, git has tools to recover the commited data.

Eventually everything is fine!

Where on the wiki do we need to add the python-yaml package as a dependency?
At least here https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/CompileOnUnix
If this is going to be a hard dependency, we need to add it to the PPA packaging. I'm not sure if it's in the osx and linux bundles.
It's already there on Windows because a few 3rd party WB's use it.

Code: Select all

apt-get install python-yaml
or if you use Python3

Code: Select all

apt-get install python3-yaml
Thanks Bernd. This works. To give it a test I simply selected "Concrete Generic" for the matrix and "Calculix Steel" for the reinforcement. I then edit the material and enter yield strength for the reinforcement material and friction angle for the matrix material. The yield strength sticks (turning the "Calculix Steel" into "_Transient_Reinforcement_Material"), but the "Concrete Generic" remains unchanged and the friction angle is not captured).

If I then change Concrete Generic to Concrete-Harry everything works well, but again I cannot change the friction angle from the default value of 30 degrees.

Off Topic: is it possible to change the location of the color legend in the VTK pipeline? I can't see the maximum. They are blocked by the orientation widget:

Hahahahaha - the widget doesn't show up in the screen capture. I guess I found a work-around

This is what I mean:
