By the way, you can see from the deformation shape of the face that external nodes are connected, but internal not. :shock:

I tried and indeed in this example the elements and nodes perfectly align and are duplicated. However, in my square axle example this is not the case

I am taking a different approach now. To make sure twin faces and nodes line up I start from compsolid and with my macro duplicate mesh nodes and reconnect mesh volumes. I got it to work for the stacked blocks, so the proof of concept is there.
