Hi,
I created a storage tank ( my first FEM ) based on Alex's method. I originally meshed the model with Netgen but found the pressure constraint did not work not sure why ? I used Gmsh and got the result even though I had the error message Gmsh error: Unknown element type for UNV export (MSH type 15) which as already been raised in this forum. As I'm new to FEM would appreciate any pointers why Netgen didn't work with the pressure constraint.

Hi Barry, sorry for late reply. Nice first model on FreeCAD FEM :)

I don't know why neither. Meshing the tank model with Netgen give me empty results as well.

I can't help you neither about this point.
If you want more help you should maybe open a new topic in this subforum or in Help subforum, and you should give more informations about your system or send a file as exemple. Please have a look at forum rules: http://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2264

activate the report view and read the output ...

Code: Select all

...
Pressure on shell mesh at the moment only supported for meshes with appropriate group data.

the report view was activated, but I didn't even thought to have a look at it...

Thanks for the focus on code .
