Step file encapsulated PCB FEM Simulation.

Post by Eduardo1 »

Hi, good morning or good afternoon, I have a question about a PCB simulation, in this case, I must simulate in thermal analysis a PCB in step file, this PCB is encapsulated in a aluminum box with inner fixed temperature, but the question is ¿how can I select the parts to add material and set thermical parameters if all of parts are encapsulated, because I can not select the areas and pieces.

Beforehand thank you very much.

Try hiding the parts that obscure the view (click them and use the spacebar) before selecting objects for FEM definitions.

However, this model should be simplified before the analysis - you should remove the unnecessary parts.
