Problem walking back a design

Post by grandcross »

I have a working model (attached). I'm trying to walk it back several steps so that I can make a similar part with the same base design.

Here's how you reproduce.
1. Open the model
2. Select the last entry in the model tree (Pocket009)
3. Select delete to remove the pocket
4. Select the underlying sketch (Sketch0016)

At this point, the workbench hangs. The sketch is not deleted and I'm unable to do anything else with the model. If I close the model, it still shows in the model view. I have to restart FreeCAD to get control back.

I haven't filed a bug report yet pending verification by others.

I wonder where you got your FreeCAD version from. The download page shows 12018 as the latest Windows version.
Did you compile it yourself? And if so, did you make any changes before compiling?

So I think we will get it tomorrow and let's hope we find a windows user too for testing.

Thanks for testing. I'm back on my PC on Sunday, so I'll do a new build and try again

It took a while, but I did a fresh build from source and all now seems ok. Not sure what the problem was but it doesn't seem to be anymore.
