BUG - Selection box bad behaviour in sketch editor - Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Post by iyd2019 »

Hi there!

I was recording a video-tutorial when I stumbled into this bad behaviour of the selection box in the sketch editor (see attached video): if you use the selection box to select a vertex in a line, it doesn't work (at least, visually it's still red). Actually, the whole selection process gets corrupted once you use the selection box, and you can't select vertexes anymore when it worked just fine before using it.

This is not an esoteric environment but a brand newly installed Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with the last FreeCAD 0.19 (Appimage) and nothing else. I tried also an Ubuntu 20.10 and got the same result:

OS: Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS (ubuntu:GNOME/ubuntu)
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.19.24267 (Git) AppImage
Build type: Release
Branch: master
Hash: b2ca86d8d72b636011a73394bf9bcdedb3b109b7
Python version: 3.8.6
Qt version: 5.12.5
Coin version: 4.0.0
OCC version: 7.4.0
Locale: Spanish/Spain (es_ES)

Is it me or someone else can reproduce it?
I can open a bugtrack if required.

* I tried this in MacOS and got black vertexes
* I tried this in Win10 and got similar results

Regards!

This is a known issue, but thanks for reporting it anyway :)

Thanks! I searched for it before, but with those keywords I would never find out 😅

I'll put a link there to this one also.
