AFAIK dubstar-04 has unfortunately stopped his involvement with FreeCAD. Last year he was coding a 2D CAD program for Linux.

do you know which one? Is it open source?

I don't know if he shared any of his code, all I saw from his work is videos he posted on Google+/Youtube. He was calling it "Design". There has been no activity on it for almost a year. It is unclear if his work is open source (never a good sign when it's not mentioned at all).

I noticed that he has a github account which lists 6 public repositories, though none of which seems to be related to FreeCAD:

those of us with Admin rights can read his email address associated with his FreeCAD login. By default PHPBB sends him an email under some circumstances, like if a post is made to a topic/forum that he has subscribed to, it also does so by default if you just quote him properly. But these settings can be disabled/changed by a user.

Also, of course, I have no way of knowing if he still uses that same email address.

If you send me his GitHub email address by PM, I could see if it is the same as his FreeCAD email address.

Definitely, and if he can be contacted and persuaded to share his code, maybe the work will be salvageable.

Not sure why I'm not getting notification emails?

I will see if I can find the work I did on the variable radius fillet. I believe it was lost when my pc died but there is a chance I pushed it to my server when I was having git issues.

The other CAD software I worked on is called Design. It was design to run on Ubuntu Phone using touch and then scale to a full pc experience when the phone was docked.

Thanks for responding. I feel somewhat vindicated for resurrecting this 'dead' thread.

this has been asked many times in the past, this issue looks like abandoned like other PD's enhancements (more options in revolve feature two angles/up to first/up to face).

Probably some developer can give you more information, mine are only personal feelings
