Re: Assembly3 preview
Hi!
I'm trying to make a simple frame (not the final object, but a part of it) As the "plane coincident" constraint make a plain constraint only on the center, I cheated and used the "points coincident" constraint. I think it's a bit overkill, and my question is : is there a way to make the same thing with usual constraints (for example only with "plane constraint" from assembly2)?
Maybe Am I wrong in my view of the project and Assembly3 is "just" a set of tools which will be added to Assembly 2?

<off-topic> Will this be included into 0.18 development releases? What is the status?</off-topic>
Re: Assembly3 preview
One more question ( 0:-) ) is there a way to know if there is still degrees of freedom in the assembly?
BTW for the little thing I'm actually doing, assembly 3 is extremely effective
Could it be a good idea to have a wiki page with the basic operation? Maybe on realthunder's git or in a "sandbox page" on the official wiki ?

Re: Assembly3 preview
thank's! maybe could it be a good idea to have this stored somewhere easier to find than in this 34 pages topic?Rene wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 5:07 pmAt this time some examples can be found here: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 90#p221190

Re: Assembly3 preview
I have already read this. That didn't match what I was talking about. @Rene's response was closer. I was just talking about making more accessible the link Rene pointed to me.easyw-fc wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 5:33 pm https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD_ ... /Readme.md

Re: Assembly3 preview
You're welcome.
If you click on Assembly feature and look in the property view. There is a Verbose property in there. Setting it to true will output some solver related DOF information in Report view on solve operation. One more question ( 0:-) ) is there a way to know if there is still degrees of freedom in the assembly?
You would likely still ask and likely a more experienced users would point you in the right direction. I guess hard to ask for more.maybe could it be a good idea to have this stored somewhere easier to find than in this 34 pages topic?
