Making planes visible in assembly?

Post by Deadhorse »

Is there a way to make datum planes, original or user created, visible in assembly mode/work bench?

Not possible. They are filtered out during import, as they would not work correctly.

A possible work around. The first part put into to assembly seems to be inserted at global xyz. I have a "template" with surfaces at xyz so I can tell where it is. Then work off of that corner of your part. You could put in a dummy part and hide it.
