Assembly Weights

Post by bmath777 »

Hello All

I've been working on building an assembly using the A2plus workbench. Is there any way to get the weight of the entire assembly?

The entire assembly is steel so there is no varying density.

I've started using the FCInfo macro but I've only been able to measure the weights of individual parts in the assembly. I am aware I could just use addition to find what I'm looking for but I'm hoping for a lazier way of doing it.

Moved to Assembly workbench.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

There is no real lazy way for doing this.
You could use the partlist functionality of a2p and store the weight of each part in a field of a #PARTINFO# sheet. After creating a #PARTLIST# sheet, you could export it to an office program and add the wheights there.
