Mate Plane or Axis

Post by Zumbie »

Hi, newbie here.

In assembly mode:
1. Is there a way I can mate a plane or axis of two different parts?
2. How can I show all features of a part in assembly tree?
Please see the attachment.

Someone may say why not make the two simple parts as one? In reality I face this situation always occur in welding process.

it is unfortunately the problem (one of) of PartDesign, that not to accept more than one object by body (solitary like a wild boar) :?: )
use Part WB it will work

After your editing of the OP it is clear that this is an assembly question. I moved the topic.

This is a video which demonstrates the basics of an assembly process..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMxcQ5tssWk

If using A2plus you cannot do this. A2plus is working with the final shapes of the parts. All other information has been stripped off.
