performance issue in Pad command

Post by hamza »

Performance issue
You can see the results when I use the pad command up to face.
[Feature request]
In addition to this, there should be two options for up to face
The pad command should also have the option of thickness.By thickening a sketch that is not closed.
For example

You are using the link branch, which is discussed in the Assembly forum. I move your topic there. (If you would have used master, you should have posted to Help forum, not Open didscussion).

I have already made flags there. Didn't get any response so I thought let's try here. There is a quick answer here so I thought why not here

Let not do the helpers the work you could do yourself: Retry with the current master 0.20 and come back with the model if the behaviour is the same.

I may repeat myself, but in case it is unclear: If you want to discuss the branch, do it here. If you want to discuss 0.20, do it in the Help forum.

PartDesign works with solids inside of bodies. The extrude is neither of these. Make it a solid, import it as BaseFeature in the body and make a pad to first. That works perfectly:

Please don't zip freecad files, they are already zipped. If you want better compression - which is appreciated for uploads to the forum -, set a higher compression level in the preferences.

If I have to ask for a new feature, where should I go?
It works by soldering
