Problem with linear assemble of identical bodies

Post by Vagulus »

OS: Windows 10 Version 2009
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.19.24291 (Git)
Build type: Release
Branch: releases/FreeCAD-0-19
Hash: 7b5e18a0759de778b74d3a5c17eba9cb815035ac
Python version: 3.8.6+
Qt version: 5.15.2
Coin version: 4.0.1
OCC version: 7.5.0
Locale: English/New Zealand (en_NZ)

I am using Assembly 4.

Is there a problem with assembling a sequence of identical bodies along, say, the X-axis and mounting each successive body attached to the last? If I try more than two, bizarre things happen. The third body disappears from the 3D View and the first two swap places in the line. If I make a movie of it I could sell tickets.

You think I jest! 8-)
Have a look at this: https://1drv.ms/v/s!ArMxdUYEh9fKwBc-MIs ... x?e=ciSQyZ.
There must be something wrong with something (probably something I am doing wrong).

Here is the Document https://1drv.ms/u/s!ArMxdUYEh9fKwBhmpWZ ... Q?e=JTG8Lw. It's only a baby but it's too big to upload. :( Perhaps instead of buying a ticket you could donate! ;) [wiki]https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Donate[/wiki]

No, it should work, but there was an unfortunate bug in version 0.11.5 : is that the one you're using ?

this model doesn't correspond to the video you're showing. Also, the Body you're using has the AttacherExtension property set (MapMode) which introduces its own AttachmentOffset which interfers with Asm4's AttachmentOffset (this was the bug introduced in 0.11.5).

How did you get that property set ? The other Bodies in the file don't have it.

I ripped the insides out of that module to reduce the file size. Essentially it is the same beast.

Must be some key hit in error. It would seem more important to find out how I can UNSET that property. Is that possible?
