misbehaving constraints

Post by freman »

I have spent far too much time over the last three days just trying to get asm3 to stick these two parts together the way I want them placed, rather than the way asm3 thinks they should go.

If you remove the assembly constraint, you can see they are almost where they should be to start with. I want the bar in the slot just touching the two faces of the V-goove.

Can someone suggest what constraint I need to use, and maybe explain why it keeps flipping to stick the end of the bar, when I select the cylindrical surface, not the end ?

TIA.
