Embedding videos on the wiki?

Would it make sense?

To that, installing an extension is required.

I think it's a good idea. And for MediaWiki extensions, being updated in the last year is not bad.

I won't be able to test this until this weekend, though.

Yes...definitely..

maybe also powerpoint/librecad step by step presentations.. i use such in my training courses with good results...

Many things can be made clearly with 10 seconds of video..instead of half a million words...

Mind you, I think this needs to used sparingly, but it could be useful for example on the Video tutorials page.
