Formatting keys and buttons

During the last months I noticed the growing usage of {{Button}} instead of {{KEY}} in the wiki documentation. I'd like to know whether the latter is/should be limited to pure keyboard keys and the first to buttons used in the GUI. When would be the right time to change existing entries in the wiki?
