Wiki moved - testing needed!!!!

Post by jriegel »

Hi guys,
the wiki is now moved to a temporary domain:
http://freecadweb.wired-net.de

please test the content! Especially if all the pictures are there and the other languages (I can't read) are moved correctly.

If everything is alright, I will flip the switch soon for the freecadweb.org domain....

For me everything looks perfect! A bit slow maybe, but that might be just the need for some adjustments and the mediawiki cache to be filled.
I'll test again at night to see if the evil antiamerican slowdown is gone :)

Speed seems satisfactory from the UK and login works without problems.

yes speed is much, much better once logged in. Definitely something to do with caching (IIRC I disabled it for testing), I'll fix that when we have the credentials...

They had to clear the cache in the MySQL db. It was already enormous!

I did a quick test. Not logged in.
With Iceweasel (Firefox)
It took about 100 seconds to load the wiki.
Once inside, it was fast to show random tutorials.
Then closed the page and opened it again, now it was fast to load the wiki. :?:

New test. Not logged in.
With Epiphany
It took about 10 seconds to load the wiki.
Once inside, it was fast to show random tutorials.
sorry for my outrageous English, but I have a bad excuse

I did some more testing, all seems to work very well so far. I still must test svg rendering (currently SVG upload is disabled) and, let's be bold, I'll try to make openID work once again...
