[Solved] "Mouse model"
What is a "Mouse model" https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Mouse_Model
Is this the correct title?
Maybe "Models of Mouse Navigation" or "Types of Mouse Navigation" or "Mouse navigation and an overview of various navigation patterns" ?

Re: "Mouse model"
You can check in other languages (with Google translation).
The title is not always the same.

The translator gives very strange translations.Shalmeneser wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 12:57 pm You can check in other languages (with Google translation).

Then I decided to look for an article explaining what this combination of words means: https://www.jax.org/why-the-mouse/model But there we are talking about the internal structure of the mouse DNA
Here is another good explanation that I found: "A mouse model is a laboratory mouse used to study some aspects of human physiology or diseases."
Are is serious?
Re: "Mouse model"
If I search for your first proposal, "Models of Mouse Navigation", the first hit is the FreeCAD Mouse Model .

Re: "Mouse model"
Could you provide at least one other documentation or application (other than FreeCAD) that uses the term "Mouse Model"?
https://www.google.com/search?q=Mouse+Model There is nothing like this in the search, except for FreeCAD, of course.
Re: "Mouse model"
Gentlemen this discussion leads nowhere ...
I am in a better position, because preparing a page in my native language, I made the appropriate correction in the title of the page.
However, the title in English I will not discuss.
But perhaps it could be better.

Re: "Mouse model"
I don't see any reasons for such a strange translation.
Well, or only if a person living in England and America really confirms that this is the "canonical" correct logical term. Then I think I'll agree with that term.

Re: "Mouse model"
There are many links from the forum to the wiki using the name only. If the page is renamed, these links should be dealt with.

Re: "Mouse model"
I can only agree that the page name is confusing. I'll rename the page. New page name: "Mouse navigation".
Of course I'll also fix the internal wiki links and create redirect for the old name...

Re: "Mouse model"
Fr : Navigation par la souris (=mouse)
It : Navigazione 3D - Tipo di mouse
Br/Pt : Estilos de Navegação
Ro : Navigarea în 3 D Modelul de Mouse
Po : Profil nawigacji myszką
So "Mouse navigation" seems right with other choices.
