well recently this module has been split leaving the workbench part of it as an external addon but the core of the module in master https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/pull/4971

should there be separate pages for each or just a clarification in the page?
Thanks for the explanation. :D
You just got to the bottom of my question.

While working on the translation of the Plot module page, I began to have doubts ...

... which you have confirmed.

In reference to the information you provided, I believe that there should be open information provided in relation to this work environment.
Maybe making changes to the existing page will be sufficient, but I don't know if that is in line with the existing FreeCAD wiki rules. :roll:

Hurray!! The hard graft has been done. Thanks @heda for the epic collaboration!

Some minor loose ends remain:
Renaming the Part_Module and the TechDraw_Module.
The Plot_Module.
The side bar.

I have initiated the renaming of the TechDraw_Module just now and have posted a message to that effect in the Help forum: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=61969

Maybe we won't have the same issue as with the Part_Module.

TechDraw_Module has been renamed and new redirects (Module->Workbench) have been created.

I have initiated the renaming of the Part_Module:

This is the 6th attempt... So fingers crossed...

Well, that did not work, again...

Renaming the Part_Module page is blocked for some reason.

Can somebody shed some light here please?

Maybe is possible to make py script by pyWikibot?

e.g.

Code: Select all

text = text.replace("[[Part_Module/","[[Part_Workbench/")
text = text.replace("[[Part Module/","[[Part_Workbench/")
text = text.replace("[[Part_Module|","[[Part_Workbench|")
text = text.replace("[[Part Module|","[[Part_Workbench|")
(this is only example)

Yes of course.

Note that I was forced to recreate the redirects. But before initiating the rename operations I have always deleted them.

While the issue with the Part_Module existed I was able to rename the Sketcher_Module page. So it is somehow related to the Part_Module page. Maybe the number of pages involved (1000+, each translation unit is a separate page) is causing the problem?

We are past that stage by now: Rename_Module_to_Workbench.

@Roy_043 so Part Workbench pages already exist. So I'm just adding a redirect from Part Module and all their translation pages? i.e erasing the contents of the page and adding:

Code: Select all

#REDIRECT [[Part Workbench]]
Correct?

Can you elaborate what you mean? Are you trying to figure out why you aren't successfully able to rename Part_Module?
