Release notes 0.15

Postby renatorivo » Sat Sep 27, 2014 12:20 pm

I removed the tags translate, languages and <! T> from the page
http://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/index.ph ... _notes_015
It is better to write the page first and then mark the page for translation when it is finished,
as has been done for 0.14: '''Work in progress - do not translate yet!!'''
Note that the <! T> tags are automatically added, they should not be edited

please, if I'm wrong, someone correct me

I agree with you. There is still no definitive decision about the 0.15 release so there is no rush I think.

I added the same "work in progress" note and deleted the release date which was highly optimistic IMHO. ;)

Hello.

Since we have finally a new development snapshot for Windows available i went
through all the commits and all the developer-posts and pull requests and did
fill in some first points.

[since i never use arch-workbench or spreadsheet those sections remained quite
empty. It would be nice if somebody with experience in these field could add some
points there]

Feel free to edit and add points ...

I'll probably merge the Path workbench soon too... might be cool to have it for the 0.15 release

Since the last release notes had a cool picture I added my newest fun project as picture.
Everything modelled in Part Design, made simple copies of each part and placed them.
Even learned new tricks ...

Now we are airborne ...

Weren't we supposed to have a feature freeze for v0.15? :?

Is there something preventing the release by the way?

This was an old post... I changed my mind afterwards, the path module still needs a bit of work.

As for the release, I guess only OCE0.17 integration is missing, the spacemouse stuff is solved I believe. Werner has already forked the release branch..

Doh.

Okay, I just saw in the "Release discussion 0.15" topic that Werner forked the Release-0.15 branch.. So I will need to find a solution to the OCE-0.17 debian package problem. Maybe I'll contact D. Barbier from the OCE project.
