Visibility / Hiding of Sketch Edges

Post by paullee »

Hi, I am not aware discussion about this.

I have selected about 12 edges, only 8 are 'highlighted' because other 4 are overlapped by other elements.

The rendering order does not help.

Seem virtual space help by tidying up constraints but no way to hide individual edge elements?

Any idea? Thanks!

You cannot hide edges.
Split your sketch into smaaler problems.
If you have to much information in one sketch you can create a helper sketch with some details and reference to it using exteranl geometry from the main sketch,
The helper sketch displays only important geometry and the construction lines are hiden when the sketch editor is closed.

Thanks!

It seem it is the best option currently!

It seems there are cases that some edge visibility control still desirables even if external geometry is used?

Or is there currently a bug...?

See screencapture-
  1. I have 2 construction edges in blue
  2. These 2 edge helps to form a rectangle (rectangle below) with another 2 edges in white
  3. There are 2 edges formed (Edge 17 & 18) base on the construction edges
But Edge 17 & 18 are not visible - though Rendering Order is Normal-External-Construction.

BTW, any previous similar feature request...?

Can you minimize the example and upload the file?
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

Hi, I find it is more than pure sketcher problem - concern ArchSection + Cut View:-

When I have an Arch Section, and turn the Cut View to True

1. The order of edge visibility is no longer controlled by sketcher's setting
2. Constraints like dimensional, block, etc. become invisible.
