Module :: 3DGuitar

Postby jptned » Mon Nov 30, 2015 6:41 pm

Hello everyone,

Last year, MartijnvE and I have developed a module for FreeCAD, which creates a guitar in 3D based on a set of user controlled parametrers. This as part of a school project.

I thought it would be a good plan to make this module available to you guys and to the rest of the internet. We are going our own ways now, and we won’t be developing this project any further actively.

The code for this module is published in the following GitHub repository:
https://github.com/jptned/3DGuitar/

We’d be happy to hear from you when you try this module. It won’t work perfectly, but we hope it can act as a base for your project!

To close up, I want to thank R.M. Mottola for pointing us in the right direction with his articles about mathematically calculating the shape of a guitar in the American Lutery.

Kind regards,
Tim

hi welcome
a nice complement for your nice macro Fretboard
(you adapt PyQt4 to PySide)

Maybe you need a special feature, go into Macros_recipes and Code_snippets, Dialog creation. My macros on Gist.github.

Thanks for this links.

I have integrated your workbench to the pluginloader.

You will not maintain it furthermore?

No, probably not. Perhaps if an easy fixable bug is found, but we are not planning on expending this.
