I figured that I can solve this by simply moving the shape prior to converting to sketch.

or, avoid extra steps, a better workflow...just draw it in the Sketcher at the desired location to begin with.

Yeah, it is mostly for when reverse engineering existing parts and extracting shapes from faces.
