I just modify the model following PDF ridge setting-out - hope this is correct ... ( not by superimposing the image )thschrader wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 9:19 am edit: (forgot text...)
at the moment we have 4 different layouts. Which one to use?

Ok, thanks. I use the new wall as reference.paullee wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 9:27 amI just modify the model following PDF ridge setting-out - hope this is correct ... ( not by superimposing the image )thschrader wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 9:19 am edit: (forgot text...)

This has an effect of the column-height in axis 1 (+180 mm, when pink/green axis in sketcher are set parallel).
About statics/stability:
The outer prefabricated frames an the inner wall must act as a "shear-wall" to get stability of the wooden frame/roof.
The inner wall-panels a boltet to the middle-beam and the rebars in the floor.
I will run a statics calculation of the frame, lets see how it works with FC-FEM and my commercial software.

Not sure if the figures I picked from the PDF are consistent indeed.thschrader wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 11:27 am This has an effect of the column-height in axis 1 (+180 mm, when pink/green axis in sketcher are set parallel).

Hope to see something about FEM, I know nothing about this
And some update, adding door opening, windows, omission of concrete panels, re-dimension of stairs etc.

Re: Open Source House with Open Source CAD?
Some fun with FEM, calculating the wooden frame/roof.
Loading:
snow 75 kg/m^2 on roof, payload 200 kg/m^2 upper floor, no selfweights.
The beam under the upper floor with cross section 50x200 mm seems too weak.
(double the calculated stress of 5 MPa, in reality there are hinges at the ends)
Some walls are still missing...
Have a nice weekend.

Re: Open Source House with Open Source CAD?
Model updated, incorporated Thschrader's latest model, added window clones, adjusted dispositions ...

does it make sense to try to plan the house on this site, a point cloud?
point clouds are used in my clientele.

Do you have ways to calculate wind load?
