Height property in Arch Floor

Post by bitacovir »

For the Arch Floor tool, the description in https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Arch_Floor says: "they have a height property, that its children objects (walls and structures) can use to set their own height automatically.
However, If I put a couple of walls in a Floor group, I cannot change their original heights with the height property of the group (in the tree view). Maybe I am interpreting wrongly this description?

Hello,
You have already tried to change the height of the walls to 0, only so it stays in "automatic"

Ohh I see. Thanks, Renato. It is working. But that part is missing in the description. In fact, in v0.17 if I put 0 for the height of the walls the program crash. I must set up the height property of the floor with a number > 0 first. After that, I can change the height of the wall to 0 and this one will adopt the floor height. In v0.16 I can change the height of a wall to 0 and FreeCAD does not fail. Only it shows a red mark in the tree view.
