Problem Putting a door in a wall

Greetings:

Building a model of my back patio as an intro into FreeCAD. I seem to be getting everything constructed but running into a problem putting a door into one of the walls. Am I constructing something incorrectly? This is my first time posting in this form so I am unclear what you guys need to help me resolve, so please let me know what other information you need to assist. Thanks!

Please, always include your FreeCAD version information. You can easily copy/paste all the needed information by using the "Copy to clipboard" button in FreeCAD, in menu Help -> About FreeCAD. You can then paste that information here.
Also you can share your file.

Now, are you working with sketcher WB? I think it is not recommended to work with too many sketches for Arch projects. They are a strong tool but fragile if you do not know how to work with them. I had similar problems once. Maybe you should use the preset arch parts such as walls, but based on dwire elements (rectangle, line, etc). After that you can use sketcher for doors and windows if you want.
