Yes. that user interaction / procedure is intuitive that seems most programme have it similar.

Maybe a mayor utility for parametric models is their potential for further implementations in projects of others. This means reusing of the model. It makes me more sense if you create a parametric house to put it in sale as block or object in a online library. Then, people could download it and adapt it just dragging the corners of the model. People will pay for the time saving. This goes for a library of parametric details, as well. People can adapt quickly a model moving some points, for intensive reuse of the detail in many projects. There are many design in architecture that are "standards". With limited variation. For those cases you could use parametric objects. Ideally, objects that you didn't need to create. You just download or buy it.

Maybe @Yorik again :- Any idea about the algorithm AutoCAD or SweetHome3D find the boundary with one click ? Would attempt in Sketch first.

Better still, if there is an algorithm to deduce the boundary by one-click in the room area just like AutoCAD (probably Revit too) did will be very helpful and save lots of time in the Workflow. Hope someone know how to do that and implement

... Maybe an easier way to pick/modify boundaries? Like you would click a button, see all boundary faces selected, be able to select/unselect anything, and press Ok...

OK, I'll see what can be done

In the meantime, testing the Sketch object and workflow on the Villa Savoye model.

1st thing is to omit the necessity of the Extrusion object on top of the Sketch (of the Room outline) for ArchSpace to accept

The only thing helps is that I do not needs to actually 'draw' again the outline of rooms following the walls, but just select the 'existing' Sketch edges of the wall (forming the room), and it's done - Save some time. It is 'toponaming-safe' also.
