Direct "Send Sketch/draft object to TechDraw page" button
I was using a lot sketcher and BIM WB and when I have to send my draw to a page in Techdraw, and I find very annoying to always change WB to Techdraw only to click in a button "add to page". Idea (maybe it's not new, of course): why not adding a button in Draft/Arch/BIM/Sketcher to quickly add and object to a TD page?

Re: Direct "Send Sketch/draft object to TechDraw page" button
Ok, thanks to all
I'll see if I can customize a shortcut in customize controls, but I think a similiar button to send directly an object to techdraw page without beforse lection the TechDraw WB, should be in BIM and Arch in default installation menu button.

I'm afraid that this could be too specialized. Some people don't want their views all stacked in the center, some may want to add things to an existing view, ...ragohix769 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 9:57 am I think a similiar button to send directly an object to techdraw page without beforse lection the TechDraw WB, should be in BIM and Arch in default installation menu button.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

Re: Direct "Send Sketch/draft object to TechDraw page" button
I cannot manage to make it work:
https://ibb.co/Ttmx0sF
[BTW I cannot add images on the forum from clipboard, it's there a method? I've seen this pinned https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=2956 but it's outdated, some of the sites metioned are no more working]
If I push the right arrow button in the center to add what I want from Techdraw WB to Sketcher (but with BIM or Arch, it's the same), nothing happens. I've seen the documention but i'm doing simple add button from one WB to another., Any idea to solve?

Re: Direct "Send Sketch/draft object to TechDraw page" button
But it's to add an object (IE a sketch) directly to the first page avalaible in TD, nothing more. To avoid to select TECH draw, select the object in the tree, and the add the view to a page, and then exit the Techdraw. Maybe I don't explain it right.chrisb wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 10:33 amI'm afraid that this could be too specialized. Re: Direct "Send Sketch/draft object to TechDraw page" button
You must select a toolbar, therefore you must first create a custom toolbar. I'll try to clarify that in the instructions.https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Interface_Customization#Add_a_command wrote:1. Select the correct toolbar in the panel on the right. If no toolbar is selected, the command will be added to the first toolbar in the list.

I created the custom toolbar, now it works

Cool!
[BTW: if a new custom toolbar it's not present/created the GUI should suggest the user to create one before, I think]
