select all objects of a floor or building

Post by bernd »

I'm looking for a fast way to select all objects of a floor or building.

If a building is marked and space is pressed the visibility of all building objects is changed. I would like to select exact all these objects. The only way I found is to open all nodes (ALL, if a floor has nodes (roof) these has to opened too) click on the first object of the top (in widget) floor use shift and click on the last (in widget) floor.

Is there an easier way to select all objects of a building or floor in the gui.

Hi Bernd,
Is the following steps make that you want ?
Right click on the Arch Floor Object >> Utilities >> Select the Group
It seem that it select all object of the group...
You have to deselect the Arch Floor Object if you don't want it.

I have only try with a little exemple, I don't know what is the behavior with complex dependance between arch objects.

Rockn's method should indeed work (floors are in fact freecad groups). That "select group contents" is a command, so you can give it a keyboard shortcut too.
