... for my 3/4-century birthday my family gave me a 3D-printer.
First trial was a tiny ship - I scaled the class-J yacht hull, because data were fresh enough.
It worked in the first run - 35 minutes and unexpectedly smooth.
Possible print space 150 x 150 x 150 mm. Next model will be a little bit bigger.

... some more 3D printing trials in mini-hulls of J-Class yacht.
STL mesh generated under Mefisto - max edge length 2mm.
Printing time of complete hull 2h (top left). STL file 600 kB; FC file 1.05 MB; gx file 2.4 MB

I made small changes to the hull and wanted to show some pictures.
But the pictures are not shown in the preview.

The link doesn't point to the image but rather to a website containing the image. Using your browser's right mouse menu over the image may give you the correct link (copy image adress or similar).
If images aren't too big you can attach them to the post.
